Club Immigration faces a devastating exit from the Club Maldives Cup (CMC) 2017, after a phenomenal display against Allied on Saturday. Match ended with a single goal to Allied, which came in during the 2nd minute of the second half.
The only way to secure Club Immigration’s existence in the tournament was a win. As such, fast-paced goal rush in the second half resulted in numerous opportunities for them. However, they failed to accomplish in finding the back of the net of Allied. Perhaps the only thing lacking on Jinah’s side was their hostility with the goal.
The absence of the free kick specialist, Ahmed Ashfan, who was forced to leave the play after he obtained a hamstring injury on the opening minutes of the game, was extremely missed as Immigration was awarded various free kicks on perfect scoring ranges during the second half.
The tactical coaches of Club Immigration also played Power Play of futsal, where everyone including the Goal Keeper goes in front to create an all-out attack. Goal Keeper Tholal Hassan was sacrificed for this tactical change, where multi-skilled Hassan Azwan replaced him in the dying minutes of the game.
