Aafiu is unbeaten in 18/30 Women’s Futsal Fiesta (WFF) since he last lost against STO in 2012 final in the 3rd edition of the tournament. After the bitter defeat which demolished the treble championship dream that year, he came back stronger with Club Immigration in 2015. Since then, he has never lost in the tournament for two consecutive years.
Speaking to the media of Club Immigration regarding tonight’s match against STO, Coach Aafiu said that his main objective is to grab the three points. He added that it will be a special night for him, as the scars of the 2012 final still remains.
“I don’t want a huge margin of goals. I only want three points. That’s enough for me”, Aafiu said.
A win or draw against STO tonight will extend his unbeaten run to 16 matches. His side is to play against STO tonight at 21:00, in the last match of the group stage.
Tia Darti, the Indonesian futsal international remain as the appetite for tonight’s match, as she is set to feature tonight for the first time in the competition. She, along with her domestic league and international team mate, missed the first two matches due to their unavailability. Moreover, she was also left in the last match against Stelco RC too, as she was lacking match fitness.
Immigration will advance as the runners up of the group even if the match ends with a draw. However, their opponent in the Quarter finals will be decided by the goal margin.
